My Refund Limited understand that if you provide personal information to us, you are trusting us to use the personal information for proper purposes. Personal information collected through our Website, any application submitted to us, information provided to us through any communications you have with us will be held by us in accordance with the principles of the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

  • Drivers Licence details (Alternative photo ID if Drivers Licence not available)
  • IP address of application submission
  • Information relating to your income situation, family details
  • We collect personal information in the following ways:
  • Directly from you when you complete and submit to us your application form.
  • In the course of providing our service to you, via communication with you directly.
  • Directly from you or from third parties acting on your authority or who you authorise us to make contact with about you.
  • The government departments, agents and service providers that we may engage to assist us with fulfilling any of the purposes recorded in this Privacy Policy.

 

We collect your personal information in order to:

  • Verify client’s identity (via Equifax) to enable My Refund Ltd to act as clients tax agent
  • Link to our clients account at Inland Revenue
  • To assess your tax position
  • To allow for open communication channels between us and client
  • To provide payment of tax refunds owing to client.

 

Besides our staff, we share this information with:

  • Veda – An Equifax Company to process ID verification as well as default information for any outstanding unpaid fees.
  • Inland Revenue in order to link and act as their Tax Agent. This include updating your contact information with IRD.
  • My Refund Limited and associated My Group Businesses, or business associated with the company director
    or others for which you have made product or service enquiries, to communicate with you by mail/email and/or
    phone/text message.
  • Additional third parties, where additional authorities have been obtained
 

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to provide required information to enable us to provide our service, then we may not be able to act as your Tax Agent. We keep your information safe by storing it in a secure serve system and only authorised staff can access this information. We may be required to disclose your information where we are under a duty to comply with the law
